The brief

What was breaking

Getting medication to a patient involves pharmaceutical companies, distributors, medical representatives, and the patient, and traditionally none of them share a system. Revantage wanted that coordination to happen in one place without exposing patient health information to everyone in the chain.

  • Stakeholders operated independently with no shared platform, so delays and miscommunication were built into the process.
  • Order placement, prescription verification, and delivery tracking were manual, which cost time and introduced errors that reached patients.
  • Handling patient health data across several parties under India's DPDP Act 2023 carried real legal and operational risk.
  • There was no systematic way to know whether a patient received their medication or stayed on their treatment.
  • Pharmaceutical companies had no visibility into prescription patterns, territory performance, or distributor efficiency.

What we built

The system we delivered

One platform, scoped per stakeholder

Pharmaceutical companies, distributors, and medical representatives work in a single system, and each sees only the information their role requires.

Order intake that routes itself

Patients or caregivers place an order through a simple form with a prescription upload. The system routes it to the right distributor by location and handles verification in the background.

Follow-ups timed to the prescription

The platform calculates when a patient will run out of medication and schedules the refill and adherence call for that point, instead of a generic reminder cadence.

DPDP compliance in the architecture

Consent management, secure storage, and complete audit trails are part of how patient data is handled, so compliance is automatic rather than a periodic exercise.

Reporting the commercial team can act on

Prescribing patterns, regional sales performance, distributor efficiency, and market opportunities are surfaced as reports rather than extraction projects.

Notifications that replace phone tag

Automated email and WhatsApp updates keep every party current on order status, delivery, and follow-up schedules.

What changed

The result in production

Medication reaches patients faster

Automated workflows removed the bottlenecks and manual errors between an order being placed and a distributor acting on it.

Better adherence, tracked rather than assumed

Systematic follow-ups keep patients on their prescribed regimens, and the data makes it possible to see where they fall off.

Regulatory confidence, not regulatory anxiety

Full DPDP Act 2023 compliance removed the legal exposure of handling patient data across multiple parties.

One source of truth for every stakeholder

Companies, distributors, and representatives work from the same record, which removed a whole category of coordination failure.
